The sun! The beach! The pool parties! Summer is the absolute best time ever to be a fashionista, so it's no surprise that I always aim to celebrate the season in style. From the luxe to the basic, there are so many amazing trends and ultra fabulous looks this year; I'll be posting a super hot item from my summer must-have list right here every week. (After all, I know I'm not the only one who wants to look fab this season.) Obsession-worthy finds? I promise, doll-ling!

Must-Have #4: Eye Spy Tom Ford’s!

No matter what age you are, it’s super important to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful ways. (We wouldn’t want to show our age, now, would we?) As such, I've been sporting fashionable, face-friendly shades just like these retro-chic Tom Ford Anouk sunglasses since the 50's. The hint of a cat-eye shape cries retro chic while the extra-large frame adds a totally modern twist without being anywhere close to over-the-top. Plus, can you ever go wrong sporting the creations of a former Gucci and YSL design guru? I think not.

And as if you needed another reason to get behind these luxe lunettes, sunglass-obsessed celebs from Nicole Richie to Kim Kardashian to Olivia Palermo have been donning these very shades to shield away the paparazzi, so you'd be in A-list company. The only question that remains is simple: Black or tortoise shell?

Oh, and my second secret for staying forever fresh-faced? Plastic, of course!

Fashion Week Luxe Redux: Cover Up!

There were so many swoon-worthy items in my New York runway show, it’s almost impossible for a doll to play favorites, no?

But as warm summer days turn into cool summer nights, nothing quite compares to this sassy little crochet number by Twinkle. The colors are so 70's fab, and the shape is totally adorable. As dusk approaches, cinch a cover up like this on the sand, slip into your Havaianas, and, voila, you’re ready to snuggle up on the beach in front of a campfire with your Ken.

Must-Have #3: Let’s Go Threadless!

No silly, I don’t mean bare it all at the beach. I mean after you get out of the water and are craving a little bite to nibble, get all dolled up in this ultra-creative Her Hair top featured over on Threadless. Threadless is the super chic and totally talked about community-based tee-shirt shop where you can create designs, vote on ones you like best and then buy them all! Looks like filling out that summer wardrobe will happen in no time, right?

Plus, I love that this tee totally reminds me of my old Barbie and the Rockers ‘do (read: super big and done up in pink). After all, every time I get out of the waves, my mane is always all tussled and tossed, so that’s basically the style I’m sporting. So beach appropriate, no?

Could spending day after day soaking in the sun, surf and sand at the Malibu beach next to my dream house ever get any less fabulous? Now that I’m rocking this tee over my Hurley shorts, I think not.

Pretty in Pink

So flattered! From the looks of this Who What Wear “Beauty Board,” my signature pucker is on the tip of some editors’ lips…Apparently a Barbie pink pout has been popping up on A-listers such as Drew Barrymore, Chloe Sevigny and Taylor Momsen—pretty fashionable company, no?
