I've had so much fun blogging here but don't you think it's time for a change? I do! I am so excited to announce the launch of my new blog! Check it out here: http://bit.ly/BarbieBlog
Going forward I will be sharing my a-mazing adventures there – including exciting career news, the latest items on my shopping wish list, fun projects I’m working on and doll-tastic tales of my favorite girls, including Skipper, Stacie, Chelsea… and of course my boyfriend Ken.
In the past few weeks, it seemed as if Ken was popping up everywhere! First, he winked at me on Match.com. Then he secretly jetted off to the original Magnolia Bakery in New York and was spotted designing a custom cupcake for me! He even declared his love for me on billboards, Us Weekly and the Jumbotron in Times Square!
I've consulted my best dolls (you!) and have finally made up my mind... It's official. After seven years apart, Ken and I have decided to rekindle our romance -- after all, we may be plastic but our love is real! Ken is my soulmate - we are looking forward to defining our own happily ever after.
Of course I am tickled pink to be back together with Ken... and on Valentine's Day no less. Here are locations of some fun events in NYC where you dolls can find their very own Ken and for those in LA Ken-tastic events will be happening at The Grove all day. Because truly, everyone deserves a Ken.
No longer a single doll,
B.
P.S. Ken says hi and wants to thank all you dolls for the continued support! See all of the sweet gestures he did from his journey to recapture my heart in this video:
Dolls, BIG news. It's been quite an eventful few days. I saw some paparazzi photos on Wednesday of Ken leaving Magnolia Bakery on Bleecker Street in New York. I was so confused... he certainly has never had a sweet tooth like this doll does!
This morning, I headed over to Magnolia only to be greeted the most doll-icious surprise! During his trip to NYC, Ken designed for me my very own cupcake - The Barbie Cupcake. He didn't want you dolls to be left out, so it is available at all Magnolia Bakery locations in NY and LA. Don'’t let those heels slow you down... run and get one while you can!
Everyone has been saying I should consider getting back together with him... I think for now we are just good friends though. Right? Let me know what you think: BarbieandKen.com!
Dolls! Apologies for the long absence. I've missed you! I hope everyone had fun filled holiday season and a fab start to 2011.
It's not like me to take such a long blog hiatus, but it has been quite a busy fall and winter. I became a Computer Engineer and News Anchor, we launched a new BarbieCollector.com, released the absolutely gorgeous Blonde Book, and thousands of you shared your "I Can Be" dreams with me on Facebook.
I've returned to let you know about something very special. I am excited to announce that the a-mazing new digital competition reality series "Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend," hosted by the stylish Whitney Port, premiered exclusively on Hulu today!
Throughout the show, eight a-dorable Ken-testants will compete in a series of elimination challenges to determine if they, like Ken (yes, my ex!), have the qualities to be the ultimate boyfriend for every occasion. Whether it's a surfing competition, a cooking challenge or proving they have the best style, the guys will showcase their Ken-like qualities to woo Whitney Port and other celebrity guest judges. The winner of Genuine Ken will receive a modeling contract with Mattel, and a one-of-a-kind doll made in his likeness!
I cannot wait to see which dreamy Ken-testant wins! Make sure to check out the guys here, watch the first episode below and let me know what you think.
Whew, I’m finally back from my cross-country trip for my newest project, Video Girl! I stopped by four cities – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City – to shoot some fab footage at my fave spots.
I met up with some a-mazing dolls who found me through my Twitter clues and Foursquare check-ins. As a gift, I gave them their OWN Video Girl dolls so they can be filmmakers like me! (Looking forward to seeing all your movies!)
Thanks to all those who came out to see me… it was thrilling meeting my online friends in person!
This doll is relieved to be back in her Malibu Dream House. Lots of
work going through all my pink suitcases… but at least I got five badges on
Foursquare, including my favorite - the JetSetter!
