The White House Goes Pink!

It’s finally here! The National Barbie Collector Convention kicks off today, and my fans from around the globe are heading to the nation’s capital for four days of all-pink action.

I have been waiting for this all year! With so many of my favorite things and people in one place, a girl really couldn’t ask for a better way to spend her vacation. And I’m oh-so excited for everyone to see the unveiling of my latest life-size, designer-inspired dress, “Generations of Dreams” (you know you’ll want one!). Plus, check out the hottest collector dolls, pose for a photo-op with my custom, Barbie-pink Volkswagen Beetle, and see my stunning pink Louboutins, signed by Christian himself!

What else? For the first time ever, you can follow the latest haps at the Barbie Collector Convention through the official Barbie Collector Twitter page! Over 2,000 of my friends and family are taking part in the action and will be tweeting every moment, so those of you at home can take part in the fabulous, fashionable fun!

Bling for a Better Cause

Children mean the world to me. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that making sure kids are happy and healthy, and have the ability to be and achieve all they desire, is a number one cause of mine!

That’s why I’m so thrilled to be a part of Bulgari’s fundraising project for the Save the Children’s “Rewrite the Future” campaign, which aims to provide quality education to 8 million children living in conflict-affected areas. Seriously: Who can say no to that?

Looking to make a difference? Bulgari is offering demure silver rings 'specially created for the campaign and featuring the Save the Children logo engraved inside. The ring will be on sale ‘til December 31st, 2009 in all Bulgari stores throughout the world, in some selected department stores, and online right here.

Barbie at the Little White Wedding Chapel

Now everyone knows that while I’ve never been married, I love to model designer wedding gowns. From Vera Wang to Reem Acra to Bob Mackie, I just adore trying on the most beautiful gowns and pretending to be a bride for a day. So while I was in Las Vegas for Licensing Show this week, I might’ve gotten a little caught up in the thrill of the fashion and fun of a spontaneous wedding day. A handsome “friend” and I decided to dress up in our best whites and visit the world famous Little White Wedding Chapel.

But not to worry, before we exchanged any vows, we giggled too hard to say “I Do.” So we decided to trade in our veil and flowers for bathing suits and sun and headed back to the hotel pool.

What can I say…always a bride, never a Mrs.!

What a Sweet Suite!

Ahhh…the thrill of Las Vegas night life. After a long day of traveling, I’m ready to bet on pink! There is so much excitement out here. Not only am I one day away from the Las Vegas Licensing show, but I also just finished moving in to my very own suite at the Palms!

And how’s the suite? Let’s just say Jonathan Adler has worked his magic again, Vegas Style. For anyone who missed my real-life Malibu Dream House in March, the suite is your chance to see 2,350 square feet of pink fabulosity decked out in Adler’s signature stylings. After a night out in Vegas, I can’t wait to light the two-way fireplace and bask in the suite’s pink glory.

Anyone looking for a bachelorette party destination? Perhaps a fabulous birthday party? The suite is open all yearlong, so there’s plenty of time to get pampered in pink. My favorite part? The extra-large closet with custom, high heel patterned wallpaper.
