As you all know, I LOVE a good party and great food, and tonight I get to star on one of my fave shows on the Food Network, “Dinner: Impossible.” Shot on location at my real Malibu Dream House, my good friend and the show’s star, Robert Irvine, gets just eight hours to dish up a doll-lightful menu of fun Barbie-sized bites for my fab 50th birthday party! The challenge is on and Robert is joined by my biz manager, head of design and publicist to create the perfect Barbie bash for 250 of my closest friends at Mattel, including everyone who works to keep me fabulous.

Wait 'til you see what Robert cooks up—and keep your eyes peeled for a celebrity cameo (hint…it’s a certain handsome doll friend). So yummy!

Bling for a Better Cause

Children mean the world to me. So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that making sure kids are happy and healthy, and have the ability to be and achieve all they desire, is a number one cause of mine!

That’s why I’m so thrilled to be a part of Bulgari’s fundraising project for the Save the Children’s “Rewrite the Future” campaign, which aims to provide quality education to 8 million children living in conflict-affected areas. Seriously: Who can say no to that?

Looking to make a difference? Bulgari is offering demure silver rings 'specially created for the campaign and featuring the Save the Children logo engraved inside. The ring will be on sale ‘til December 31st, 2009 in all Bulgari stores throughout the world, in some selected department stores, and online right here.

Just take a look at these beaut’s! Born from Philippe Starck’s ever incredible creativity, the ultra-famous Louis Ghost and “baby daughter” Lou Lou Ghost armchairs get a pink makeover! While the originals were inspired by ultra-luxe, baroque Louis XV style, these ones were inspired by the style of yours truly! Flattering, no?

And if you ask me, a Barbie style makeover is never a bad thing! Not only are these doll-licious versions pink; they also feature my signature ponytail on the back. Wow!

I’m So Honored!

Now this really tickled me pink… The AAFA (read: super stylish fashion industry leaders and big-wigs) just threw the 31st Annual American Image Awards at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City, and yours truly was recognized with the Fashion Maverick Award! A maverick! Me! I was just so flattered. And not only was my 50th Anniversary a point of celebration, but they also called me an “eternally flawless fashion icon.” Well, shucks! If I weren’t plastic, I’d be blushing…The best part? The notable award was presented by InStyle magazine’s ever amazing Hal Rubenstein. She is just so chic.

All in all, it was one of the most stylish nights ever! The evening kicked off as top fashionistas from across the country were awarded with honors, everyone looked totally smashing (of course!), and style expert Stacy London was an amazing hostess! Whew... When’s the next one?

Fashion Week Luxe Redux: Beach Haughtness

When Rachel Roy kicked off my New York Fashion Week runway show with this modern take on my original swimsuit—paired with a trench and the cutest Loub’ pink peep toes—I thought it was the perfect start!
