Ready for a super chic page-turner? Well, when it comes to icons, some legends are totally untouchable—and just no one compares to the woman who practically invented fashion as we know it, Coco Chanel.
From the creation of the little black dress (fab!), to the very idea of couture (amazing!), who can compete with her iconic status? Always ahead of her time, the woman lived a seriously crazy life of design, art, fashion and-ahem-boyfriends. Nothing if not incredible, right? So just how did she go from total poorhouse to top fashion house?
That's only one of the questions Karen Karbo tackles in her half-biopic half-self-help book, The Gospel According to Coco Chanel: Life Lessons from the World's Most Elegant Woman. And really, couldn't we all stand to be a little more Coco?
