Chanel, McQueen, YSL and Chloé were just a few of the names to strut across the catwalk in March’s Paris Fashion Week. And with all the covetable clothing, these were some of the chicest shows I’ve seen since my own runway show at New York Fashion Week. (And, no, it sure didn’t hurt sitting front row with Mr. Lagerfeld himself!)
A recap of the couture? But of course! The lines were nothing if not clean. The majority of the shapes were angular, but still super feminine, and the colors were subtle. But that doesn’t mean the fashions weren’t still deliciously fun… With nods to the eighties (is it time to break out my old Rockers outfit?), like super massive shoulder pads and poufy accents, my favorite Euro designers proved why we’re all such fashion Francophiles: Signature French sophistication married with fun new trends to create to-die-for looks. Le sigh!
Sounds like my Malibu Dream House closet already needs an extension, non? Au revoir et salut!,
