The 135th annual Kentucky Derby is just two weeks away, and I can’t wait to be right in the center of the action! On May 2nd, I’ll be cheering on the horses, rubbing elbows with the celebs and socialites, and of course keeping my eyes on the hats, and the smashing fashions.
With this being the fashion event of the spring, I have carefully selected my outfit with an eye for Southern style and old fashioned panache. I have chosen a sweet floral sundress (gorgeous!), a little pearl necklace (chic!), and some sassy spring sandals (natch’). And the most essential piece? Of course it’s my new oversized white hat with blossoming flower accents. Sure, I might be a doll, but I’m also as ladylike as they come.
This year, I’ve worked with ultra-fabulous hat maker, Christine A. Moore, to create 135 replicas of my derby chapeau. The first of the 135 hats will be auctioned off through the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation.
