I’m so excited for New Year’s! ‘09 was fab, but 2010 should be a 10+! I’ll be celebrating in Vegas at the ultra trendy Palms Resort. My BFF, Jonathan Adler, designed a suite just for me (and all my dolls!). Sometimes my favorite part of a big night out is getting ready- I can’t wait to be lounging in my suite and putting on my make-up. Music is a must, so I’ll be listening to Aqua on my iHome. “Come on Barbie, let’s go party!” You don’t have to ask me twice.

When it’s time to paint Sin City pink, I’ll be traveling light. This amazing clutch by Judith Leiber is exactly what a doll needs. There’s just enough room for my cell phone and lip-gloss. I don’t want to miss the opportunity to tweet “Happy New Year’s!” when the clock strikes 12.

Fashion Flashback: I’m Ready for Business!

With over 100 careers under my belt, I’m a doll who’s worn many hats—on and off the runway. CEO? Been there. Teacher? Loved that. President? That’s Ms. President! And of course, dressing for success is always part of the game.

That’s why I’m so glad the latest fashion flashback is actually a comeback (of sorts). Nothing says, “Ready for business!” like a little lift—and with a posh pair of shoulder pads giving me some extra structure, I’m bound to look like one industrial-strength fashion icon! Maybe my 80’s power suit isn’t the best example, but these power shoulders let people know that I’m one doll that’s ready to shatter some glass ceilings.

A New Look for a New Year!

NYE is next week, and I couldn’t be more excited to party like it’s 2010! I’ve been so busy planning a huge night of star spotting, party hopping and dancing, that I almost forgot to plan what I’ll be wearing as the ball drops. Luckily, I think I’ve finally put together the perfect head-to-toe look.

Hugest decision? The dress, natch’. Now it took a while to decide, but I think this perfect in pink beaded bubble dress by Mark + James is going to make me the doll of the ball. So fab, right?

The shoes weren’t really up for discussion. Of course I’ll be heeling around in these pink Christian Louboutin pumps. Très cute and bonus: They come in doll size. And since turning heads is all about finishing touches, I’m going to be sure to catch eyes with this Make Up For Ever silver glitter. Can I get a “fabulous!” from Tim Gunn?

Finally, I’m finishing off the look with a true statement piece. This Whatever Cuff will let me speak my mind without saying a word.

Can’t wait to get this party started!

Holiday Must-Have: Chic Celebrations

This week, I’m totally hearting these final touches of fabulousness that are sure to put me in the holiday spirit whether I’m out caroling, or cozying up inside!

Since everyone seems to have their own paparazzi snapping nonstop pics at this time of year, it’s important to look like the doll you are while merry marrying your way through the holidays, right? So I’ll be adding some sparkle to the festivities with this adorable Sterling Silver Silhouette Pendant with this totally lush Candy Apple Red NARS Nail Polish, while I make the rounds to all of this year’s most talked about holiday get-togethers. 

And when it’s my turn to play hostess with the mostest, my Malibu pad better be looking its finest in holiday attire, too. So I just love these totally doll-ightful Jonathan Adler chairs.

And just in case anyone’s missed all the fabulous must-haves I’ve been swooning over, I’m going to be using this super cute Wish List Notebook. I’ll just have to make sure to leave it somewhere he can’t miss it (wink, wink)!

My Top 10 Most Fabulous Moments of 2009

Now that this year is coming to a close, I must say: This has been the most amazing birthday celebration a doll could ask for! I have never seen hotter fashions, made better friends or been to more fabulous parties. And while each day seemed more amazing than the last, there are certain moments I’ll never forget.

Now that ’09 is coming to a close, here’s the top 10 from my big five-oh:

#10. Spending V-Day with Ken

This might be #10 on my list, but you know he’ll always be my number one. (Even if we’re still just good friends…no, really!)

#9. Shooting with Lagerfeld + colette + Paris = OMG

What’s a doll to do when the leader of Chanel and well, the fashion world, Mr. Lagerfeld himself, takes your pic? You strike the fiercest pose you can bend into! And, uh, working with Baptiste? Seriously, sometimes being a doll is the best job in the world.

#8. Shopping on Fashion’s Night Out

The city that never sleeps stayed up a little later than usual for, what else? The hottest fashion event around. Fashionistas and stylish dolls from around the globe got doll’d up when New York hosted the hottest shopping event of the season. I definitely shopped ‘til I dropped.

#7. Cheering at the Kentucky Derby

I was riding high and feeling like the doll of the ball at the Kentucky Derby! On May 2nd, Churchill Downs was the chicest place around. Hats off!

#6. Stepping in for Heidi Klum

What do you get when you mix Fashion Week, two iconic blondes and a video camera? Only one of the most amazing runway recaps you have ever seen. I will step in for that doll any day!

#5. Thanking the Judges

From Divine Design to the ACE Awards, it was a good year to walk the pink carpets. And I have to admit…these super shiny trophies sure look awfully pretty in my Dream House.

#4. Shooting My First Music Video

Point! Snap! Twist! Making my very first music video with JaQuel Knight was totally tops, and now, in a few easy moves, every girl can groove like a Barbie girl in a Barbie world!

#3. Lounging Poolside in Vegas

Then, just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, I was whisked off to paint Sin City pink! My time wasn’t just spent laying at the pool either…I also spent plenty of time relaxing in the sweetest suite a girl could ask for.

#2. Watching My Own Fashion Week Fashion Show

The designers. The models. And above all: The totally amazing couture. I simply couldn’t get enough of the most fabulous runway show in the tent.

#1. Partying at the Hottest Birthday Bash Ever

The absolute, without a question top highlight of my year? No doubt, it was on my actual birthday party in my luxe Malibu Dream House. Colin Cowie planned. Jonathan Adler perfected. Louboutin had everyone drooling. I couldn’t have asked for more to celebrate the best night of my life! Relive it with me here.

Whew, best year ever, right? Could anything be better than all this? We’ll see…just you wait ‘til next year, dolls!
